Patch Tool – XLSX Patch List Export

The Patch Tool can export the current fixture dataset as a Microsoft Excel-compatible XLSX workbook.

Exports are saved to:

<game directory>/patch_lists/

using filenames in the format:

trp_patch_list_YYYYMMDD_HHmmss.xlsx

The export contains the complete current fixture dataset held by the Patch Tool.

It is not limited to:

• Selected fixtures
• Visible fixtures
• Current filters

Exported Information

The workbook can contain fixture information such as:

• Fixture Number
• Model
• Mode
• Address
• Universe
• Theatrical Network
• Fixture Type
• Brand
• Channel Count
• World Position
• Fixture ID

This makes the export useful for:

• Console patching
• Technical documentation
• Operator handover
• Rig planning
• Production records

Custom XLSX Template

TRP provides an editable workbook template at:

<game directory>/config/theatrical_realistic_pack/patch_list_template.xlsx

This template can be customised to change the appearance or layout of exported patch lists.

TRP uses a SHA-256 sidecar to identify whether the supplied template has been modified.

When TRP ships an updated built-in template:

• An unchanged older template can be backed up with a .bak suffix before replacement.
• A template detected as user-edited is preserved instead of being silently overwritten.

This allows customised production templates to survive normal TRP updates.
