Display Entities

NeonFX uses Minecraft Display entities to render Tube geometry and editor visuals.

These entities allow NeonFX to place, rotate and scale reusable models directly in the world.

Tube Rendering

Tube segments are rendered using reusable models instead of generating a separate model file for every segment.

NeonFX applies transformations to match:

  • Segment length
  • Direction
  • Profile
  • Diameter

Editor Rendering

Display entities are also used inside the visual editor.

They show elements such as:

  • The current Tube path
  • The provisional segment to the crosshair
  • Node markers
  • Bézier handle guides

Why NeonFX Uses Display Entities

Using Display entities allows NeonFX to keep the geometry editable while still rendering custom shapes in the world.

This is what makes it possible to move nodes, adjust curves and change Tube properties without rebuilding the design as blocks.
