Fallback Rendering

NeonFX can continue rendering Drawings even when the custom resource pack is not available.

In that situation, the plugin uses its fallback renderer instead of disabling the Drawing system.

When Fallback Rendering is Used

Fallback rendering may be used when:

  • The resource pack URL is not configured
  • The resource pack cannot be downloaded
  • A player declines the resource pack
  • The pack fails to load correctly

NeonFX keeps the Display entities active and continues rendering with the fallback system.

What This Means for Players

Players can still see NeonFX content without the custom resource pack.

However, the appearance may differ from the intended NeonFX models.

For the best visual result, the correct version-specific resource pack should be delivered successfully.

Fixing Resource Pack Problems

If fallback rendering is being used unexpectedly, check the resource pack configuration and run:

/neonfx debug resourcepack
