Changing Fixture Mode
Changing the selected fixture personality can change the fixture’s footprint.
For example, the same fixture may provide:
- A compact personality
- A standard personality
- A reduced personality
- A pixel personality
- An extended personality
If an existing fixture changes from a smaller mode to a larger one, it may begin overlapping the next fixture in the universe.
Example:
Before:

Fixture A uses:
1–22
Fixture B uses:
23–44
If Fixture A is changed to a 43-channel personality, it now occupies:
1–43
and overlaps Fixture B.
Whenever you change a fixture personality in an existing patch, check the addresses of the fixtures that follow it.
