What is a Node?
A Node is a point that defines the path of a Tube.
By placing several nodes, you define where the Tube starts, where it changes direction and where it ends.
Nodes define the Tube shape
A Tube is built by connecting its nodes.
Depending on how those nodes are placed, the Tube can form:
- Straight lines
- Angled sections
- Curves
The visible path between nodes is rendered by NeonFX as part of the Tube.
Nodes can have handles
A node can also use Bézier handles.
These handles control the curve on either side of the node.
NeonFX does not automatically smooth nodes or create curved handles for them. A node remains straight until one of its visible handles is moved.
Nodes are edited visually
Nodes can be selected directly in the editor.
When you look at a node and select it, NeonFX exposes the controls needed to move or adjust it.
The following articles explain how to add, select and move nodes individually.
