Tube Direction and Path

Each Tube follows a path defined by its nodes.

The order of those nodes determines the direction of the Tube.

Tube Path

The path can contain:

  • Straight sections
  • Angled sections
  • Curved sections

Straight sections are created directly between nodes.

Curved sections appear when Bézier handles are used to control the shape between nodes. NeonFX does not automatically smooth handles; a node remains straight until its visible handle is moved.

Tube Direction

A Tube has a start and an end based on the order of its path.

This direction can be reversed with:

/neonfx tube <drawing> reverse [tube]

Reversing keeps the same geometry while changing the direction in which the path is interpreted.

Editing the Path

The path itself is edited through nodes and Bézier handles.

These are explained separately in:

  • NeonFX Basics → Nodes
  • NeonFX Basics → Bezier Handles
