Using Multiple Tubes in a Drawing
A Drawing can contain more than one Tube.
This is useful when a design contains separate neon paths that should still be managed as a single Drawing.
Why use multiple Tubes?
Multiple Tubes are useful for designs such as:
- Logos with disconnected shapes
- Letters with separate strokes
- Decorative elements with gaps
- Complex signs
- Multi-part neon installations
Instead of creating several independent Drawings, all related Tubes can stay inside one Drawing.
Adding another Tube
A new Tube can be added with:
/neonfx tube <drawing> add [name]
You can also start another Tube while editing by using Shift + right-click on empty space.
Shared Drawing controls
Even when a Drawing contains several Tubes, Drawing-level controls still apply to the complete design.
For example, turning the Drawing off will affect all Tubes inside it.
Individual Tube settings are managed separately.
When to use a separate Drawing instead
Use a separate Drawing when the object needs to be controlled independently.
If several neon parts should always behave as one design, keeping them inside the same Drawing is usually the cleaner option.
