What are Layers?
Layers let you change the relative depth or offset used while editing a NeonFX design.
They are useful when different parts of a Drawing need to sit slightly in front of or behind each other instead of occupying exactly the same position.
How Layers Work
While editing, NeonFX keeps a relative layer offset.
Changing that offset changes where newly positioned geometry is placed relative to the current editing plane.
Why Use Layers?
Layers are useful for things such as:
- Preventing overlapping geometry
- Building multi-depth designs
- Creating signs with separate front and back elements
- Offsetting decorative parts
- Organizing complex shapes
Changing Layers
The active layer can be adjusted while editing using hotbar slot changes.
