Installing NeonFX
Installing NeonFX only takes a few steps.
1. Download the correct NeonFX build

Download the NeonFX JAR that matches your Minecraft version.
Do not use a JAR built for a different Minecraft version family.
2. Place NeonFX in the plugins folder
Move the NeonFX JAR into your Paper server’s:
plugins/
folder.
3. Start the server
Start the server normally.
On the first startup, NeonFX will automatically create:
plugins/NeonFX/
Inside this folder, NeonFX creates the main files and directories it needs, including:
config.yml
neonfx.db
import/
recovery/
resource-pack/
The matching resource pack is also generated automatically.
4. Check that NeonFX loaded correctly
After the server has started, join the server and run:
/neonfx gui
If the NeonFX menu opens, the plugin is installed and running correctly.
5. Configure the resource pack
NeonFX can automatically send its resource pack to players, but it must be available from a public HTTP or HTTPS URL.
The resource pack setup is explained separately in:
Server Setup & Administration → Resource Pack
You can also use:
/neonfx debug resourcepack
to check the generated pack, URL and SHA-1.
