Focus Tool – Two-Point Span Mode

Two-Point Span Mode distributes multiple fixtures across a line between two selected positions.

The first interaction records the:

Start Point

The second interaction records the:

End Point

TRP then spatially sorts the selected fixtures and distributes their aim points evenly along the span.

This can be particularly useful for focusing several fixtures across:

• A stage edge
• A backdrop
• A runway
• A line of scenery
• A performance area
• A wide architectural surface

Instead of manually focusing every fixture to a different position, the tool automatically distributes the targets.

Fixture Distribution

In Two-Point Span Mode, fixtures are not assigned to the line randomly.

TRP first sorts the selected fixtures spatially and then distributes them evenly between the two selected endpoints.

This helps produce a more natural fan-style distribution across the selected area.
