Editor Preview

The NeonFX visual editor shows a live preview while you create or modify geometry.

This helps you see the shape of the Drawing before committing changes.

Current Path

The editor displays the Tube path you are currently working on.

This makes it easier to see how the nodes and curves connect while editing.

Provisional Segment

When adding new geometry, NeonFX shows a provisional segment from the last node to your crosshair.

This lets you preview where the next section will go before placing a new node.

Nodes and Handles

The editor also displays visual elements for:

  • Nodes
  • IN handles
  • OUT handles
  • Handle guides

These elements are rendered using Display entities and are only part of the editing workflow.

Preview Quality

The editor preview can use different quality presets.

The active preview quality can be changed with:

/neonfx editor quality <preset>

The selected quality is stored when the Drawing is saved.

Preview vs Final Drawing

The editor preview is not the same as the final saved Drawing.

It is used to show the current working copy while the edit session is active.
