Shaping Smooth Curves
Smooth curves are created by carefully positioning the Bézier handles around a node.
NeonFX does not automatically smooth handles, so the final shape depends on how you place them.
Start with the Node Position
Place or move the node so it sits roughly where you want the curve to pass.
The node defines the main anchor point of the path.
Adjust the Handles
Use the IN and OUT handles to control how the Tube enters and leaves the node.
For a smoother result:
- Keep the handles aligned with the direction of the path
- Avoid very short handle positions unless you want a tight bend
- Use longer handle distances for wider curves
Use Both Sides
Adjust both handles when you want the curve to flow smoothly through the node.
Because the handles are independent, you can fine-tune each side separately.
Check the Preview
Use the live editor preview while moving the handles.
Small adjustments can make a large difference to the final curve shape.
Refine Gradually
For smooth results, it is usually easier to make several small handle adjustments instead of one large movement.
