What is a Drawing?

A Drawing is the main object used by NeonFX to represent a complete neon design.
Every design you create in NeonFX is stored as a Drawing.
Drawings contain Tubes
A Drawing can contain one or more Tubes.
Each Tube represents an individual continuous neon path, while the Drawing groups all of those Tubes together as a single design.
For example, a simple line may only need one Tube, while a logo or sign may contain several separate Tubes inside the same Drawing.
Drawings have their own settings
A Drawing can also store settings such as:
- Enabled or disabled state
- Brightness
- Color
- Render quality
- Effects
These settings affect the Drawing as a whole.
Drawings are saved by NeonFX
Once saved, a Drawing becomes part of the NeonFX data stored on the server.
It can then be edited, controlled, grouped, cloned or reused through other NeonFX features.
The following articles explain each of these actions separately.
