Changing the Current Layer

The active layer can be changed directly while using the NeonFX visual editor.

This lets you adjust the relative layer offset without leaving the editing session.

Change the Layer

While editing a Drawing, change your selected hotbar slot.

NeonFX uses hotbar slot changes to adjust the current relative layer.

What the Layer Affects

The selected layer changes the relative offset used while positioning geometry in the editor.

This is useful when you need different parts of the same design to sit at slightly different depths.

When to Change Layers

You may want to use another layer when:

  • Two parts of a design overlap
  • You want one section slightly in front of another
  • You are building a design with several depth levels
  • You need more control over complex geometry

Layer offsets are relative to the current editing context rather than separate Drawings.
