Positioning Nodes Precisely

Accurate node placement is important when you want clean lines, aligned shapes or detailed neon designs.

NeonFX lets you place and move nodes directly with the crosshair inside the visual editor.

Place the Node

When creating a new node:

  1. Aim at the position where you want it.
  2. Right-click on empty space.
  3. NeonFX places the node at the position indicated by your crosshair.

Reposition an Existing Node

If the position is not correct:

  1. Select the node.
  2. Hold Shift.
  3. Left-click the selected node.
  4. Move your crosshair while keeping Shift held.
  5. Release Shift or left-click again to confirm.

Use the Live Preview

While creating geometry, NeonFX shows the provisional Tube segment up to your crosshair.

Use this preview to check alignment and direction before placing the next node.

Use Layers for Depth

If the node needs to sit slightly in front of or behind other geometry, change the active layer before positioning it.

Hotbar slot changes adjust the relative layer offset.

Fine Adjustments

The editor also includes a nudge control for smaller positioning adjustments.

The current documentation confirms that the control exists, but does not define its exact movement values or arguments.
