Nodes and Tube Geometry
Nodes define the geometry of a Tube.
Their position, order and handle configuration determine the final path that NeonFX renders.
Node Order
Nodes are connected in sequence.
Each node becomes part of the Tube path, so changing the order or position of nodes changes how the Tube travels through the world.
Straight Geometry
If the nodes do not use moved Bézier handles, NeonFX keeps the path straight between them.
This is useful for:
- Linear shapes
- Sharp corners
- Geometric designs
Curved Geometry
When Bézier handles are moved, the path between nodes becomes curved.
The handles control how the Tube enters and leaves the node.
Editing Geometry
Changing the position of a node updates the connected Tube path.
Moving a handle changes the curve without moving the node itself.
This gives you separate control over:
- The position of the path
- The shape of the curve
Geometry and Tube Direction
The order of the nodes also defines the Tube direction.
If needed, the Tube direction can be reversed without rebuilding the geometry.
Tube direction is explained separately in:
