What is a Bezier Handle?

A Bezier Handle controls the shape of a curve around a node.

Nodes stay straight by default. A curve only appears when one of the node’s visible handles is moved.

What handles control

Handles change how the Tube approaches or leaves a node without moving the node itself.

This lets you create:

  • Smooth bends
  • Rounded corners
  • Flowing shapes
  • Curved logos and signs
  • More precise custom paths

Handles belong to nodes

Each node can expose two handle endpoints:

  • IN
  • OUT

These are separate editable points connected to the node.

Handles do not move automatically

NeonFX does not automatically create or smooth curves.

A newly created node remains straight until you manually move one of its handles.

The next articles explain the difference between IN and OUT handles and how to edit them.
