Configure a Port

Each rack port can receive an external Art-Net universe.

Select one of the ports and:

  1. Enable the port.
  2. Select the incoming Art-Net universe.
  3. Make sure your lighting software is transmitting to that same universe.

For example:

Lighting Software

  • Art-Net Universe: 0

TRP Rack

  • Port 1: Enabled
  • Source Universe: 0

TRP then routes that incoming Art-Net universe into the corresponding generated Theatrical universe used by your fixtures.

Important: The incoming Art-Net universe and the internal Theatrical universe are not necessarily the same concept. The rack node handles the routing between them.

If multiple rack nodes are assigned to the same Theatrical Network, TRP automatically organises their enabled ports according to node priority and generates the corresponding Theatrical universe destinations.

For your first setup, using a single rack with one enabled port is recommended.
