Impact and Detonation

After impact, the flashbang starts its configurable fuse.

The default delay is:

detonation-delay-ticks: 20

At the normal Minecraft tick rate, this is approximately:

1 second

After the fuse expires, the flashbang detonates.

The detonation always occurs, even if there are no players close enough to receive the screen-flash effect.

The detonation creates several effects simultaneously:

  • A vanilla particle and sound detonation cue.
  • A real level-15 Minecraft LIGHT source.
  • A white 3D RGB lighting pulse.
  • Maximum RGB intensity (15/15).
  • A directional player screen flash for affected players.
  • Distance-based audio effects.
