DMX Address
The DMX Address is the starting slot assigned to a fixture.
A fixture does not normally use only one address.
Instead, its selected personality determines how many consecutive slots it occupies.
For example, if a fixture:
- Starts at Address 1
- Uses a 39-channel personality
it occupies:
1–39
The next non-overlapping fixture can therefore start at:
40
TRP refers to this first slot as the fixture’s DMX Start Address.
